Jondaryn Woolshed Excursion

We are excited to announce that the P-4 students are going to attend an excursion to Jandaryn Woolshed in Toowoomba to be a part of the Jackie Howe Festival of the Golden Shears.
The excursion is on Friday the 4th of September, 2015.  Students will need to be at Kumbia School at 7:30 am sharp.  The bus will return Friday evening at 4:30 pm.
Your child will be able to experience demonstrations of Historical importance such as blacksmithing, whip making and cracking, butter churning, sheep shearing, a full working steam shearing shed and vintage machinery displays.  The children will enjoy miniature steam train rides, a horse and cart ride and a bee and honey demonstration. The knowledge and experiences gained on the day directly relate to the Australian school curriculum and the history and geography lessons they will be learning in class.  Not only is this a fabulous opportunity, this is a school activity therefore all students are expected to attend.
The cost of the day will be $16:00 per child.  This includes entry and bus travel.  We wish to extend our thanks to the P & C who have donated money aimed to assist you with the cost of attendance.
Please do not hesitate to give us a call or drop in and see us if you should have any questions regarding the excursion.
